Fishing for predators on the River, my passion.

I was born in 1972 and I grew up near the river Maas in southern Holland. As a child I spent many hours on the banks of this big river, fishing for whatever came along…. After a brief diversion into carp fishing I realized that predators were the fish that really inspired me. I have been fishing intensively for predators for more than 20 years now.

I have gained a lot of fishing experience not only in Holland but also abroad. Fishing trips have been made to England, Ireland, France, Denmark and Sweden. As a Pro Staff member for Baron Marine I represent the brands Minn Kota, Humminbird and Scotty. Together with the other members of our team we share our knowledge and are constantly looking out for new ways to improve our fishing.

Casting with jerkbaits for pike, vertical jigging for zander, trolling with small crankbaits or fly fishing for pike are only a small number of the large variety of techniques that I like to use. Fun and pleasure are of course important factors when choosing a technique for a day’s fishing but that choice is always considered carefully with a view to achieving the best possible results.
