On the last Saturday of May the predator fishing season opens in Holland. A day a lot of anglers have been waiting for. On the first days many big zander are caught on big crankbaits or jerkbaits.

The best swims for pike and zander are often places with a lot of structure or snags. To catch fish from these swims you often need to present your lure close to the bottom or very close to those snags. When you fish too far from away you get no takes.
